The good news is, Roy’s done with the bathroom! That’s also the bad news. Because while we have the major components of a bathroom above (not to mention a working toilet), we’ve still got plenty of finishing touches to tackle—medicine cabinet, light, paint, hardware to name a few.
As excited as I am with how it’s shaping up, I am tired of step-by-step progress. I want a freakin’ marathon of progress overnight. I know the finishing touches are the fun part I’ve been waiting for, but right now, I just want it to be over, so I can have one tiny room where I don’t need to make any more decisions.
Adding to my agitation, Joe had suddenly decided we’re through spending money. This decision coincided with Roy’s bill. So after sinking boatloads of cash into this project, he’s cutting me off at vanity knobs and a toilet paper holder. And this from a man who has been known to pay extra for an extended warranty on his electronics. Yeesh.
Anyway, I am ecstatic about our progress. But my impatience is understandable, I think—Halloween was (appropriately enough) the one-year anniversary of our closing.

But it looks awesome!!! The bathroom really looks beautiful. I can’t wait until I can someday see it in person.

Thanks! We don’t have the skills to do it ourselves like Nate but we’re happy with it. And I can’t wait, I mean I really can’t wait to have people over (starting with me!).
