Whew, vacation’s over already, and of course we didn’t get nearly as much done as I wanted to. The good news is, all the doors (minus the one on order at Lowe’s) are hung and sanded, so we’re ready to stain, which supposedly goes quickly (please go quickly).
And then we move on to polyurethaning, which means we get to finish and install our trim. And then, if I’m not mistaken, I get to just relax and start buying stuff. Rugs. Doorknobs. Shades. Lottery tickets (how else am I going to pay for it all?). Stuff we’ll actually get to see and use.
Oh sure, there’s still plenty of unaesthetic stuff like utility doors and attic stairs to replace, but on the whole, this blog is going to get a whole lot prettier. It’s about time.
